Car Wash
Cleaning agents for car washes (ex. spray lances or rim cleaner) are prepared manually even today through decanting the cleaning concentrate into a compressed air tank and by filling it with water. However, the quantity of concentrate used is not always accurate which can result in the ‘car soap’ being consumed too quickly or not enough much to the annoyance of the motorists. The use of a proportional metering pumps (specially those that are mounted on the wall) ensures that the chemical injected is in direct proportion to the volume of water thereby resulting in excellent dosage accuracy. This in turn helps to lower chemical costs, energy usage and less space. Dosatron water powered dosing pumps (water is the only driving force) guarantee automatic in-line dosing of cleaning agents. The pump dosing accuracy is not dependent on pressure and flow variations in the network. Dosatron has also developed a range of compact pumps to facilitate integration into roll-over car washes or small washing units.
Coolant dosage
Within metalworking and machine tools industry, such as in machining centers, lathes, boring mills and others, cooling lubricants are used. These are generally in concentrated form, are delivered in barrels and are diluted on-site. Over time, the coolant quantity decreases due to evaporation and adhering to metal chips. This must be regularly refilled in the right proportions and thus proportional metering pumps are used. In order to feed the machinery in a workshop, a solution with a solvent concentration is created and directed to the place of action. The dispenser is connected to the central water supply for topping up. Alternatively, a proportional metering device with a concentrate container can also be installed on a hand truck or on a mobile wagon with a drip pan, so that the service engineer can go to each machine to supplement the cooling lubricant as needed. This makes the concentrate readily available and is able to offer flexible service.
